Cross Scale

Ethics

How we conduct research and work on the platform.

Principles

Reliability: methods that another group can follow. Honesty: report what the data did, including a null. Respect for participants, cultures, and co-authors. Accountability for the design, the analysis, and the sentence that leaves the building.

Practice

Protocols are written down before the data arrives. Instruments are adapted with local advice, not assumed to travel. Authorship follows the work. Conflicts are declared. Animal and human work, if any, goes through review before it starts.

Misconduct

Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and undisclosed conflicts are misconduct. So is pressure on a participant or a junior colleague to produce a convenient result. A confirmed breach can mean a correction, a retraction, further training, or removal from the work.

Report

Send a concern to contact@crosscale.eu. If a person is cleared, we take steps to repair harm the allegation caused.
